Done Moving

Finally done with the moving of Nick's stuff. Was late as it was raining cats and dogs earlier. Can't believe that it's going to be Friday tomorrow - so fast! Brought my laptop home but never opened it. Ha ha ha.

Excerpt from today's reading:-

Beside my bed,
Beneath the table lamp
Lies a photo frame
With a photo of you in it

It is my motivation
It inspires me
To take on life's challenge
One needs to be brave

When I'm feeling down
Seeing you smile
Washes away the bitterness
And fills my cup with sweetness

I can't find my photo frame
It vanished into thin air
Just like you did
When you said beat it

Time to call it a night. However difficult a situation may be, I wish troubles wash away, and give way for a fresh new start. Goodnight folks. Signing off @ home.

Redemption

Flight got delayed an hour so I had to take a cab. There's a terrible jam in front so I thought I'd do my day's homework in the cab (while it's still not bumping up and down - cab driver driving quite fast). I was thinking about this a moment ago. So we're imperfect, living in an imperfect world. And I guess we were meant to be born the way we are for a purpose - to learn and then to serve with what we've learnt.
As we're not perfect, we're bound to make mistakes. And it's part and parcel of learning. But sometimes we tend to be selfish, not to others but ourselves. We beat ourselves so hard inside that we close our doors and forget to appreciate what we've planted outside. What's important is we learn to accept ourselves for who we are, forgive ourselves as we forgive those who trespass against us. Remember, forgiving is an act of kindness to one's self :)
Do not worry, when love presents itself in its truest form, there will be no hatred, no hurt, no suffering, no deceit, no jealousy, no deceit but rather forgiveness, acceptance, bliss, joy, trust. Cab's moving again so thank goodness. I'll be home in another 30 minutes. I wish for those who are trapped, may you find the key to unlock your heart, as you are beautiful by nature, but only if you choose to accept it. Signing off @ Taxi.

Ho Ho Ho Ho Silly Boy

Colleagues brought me over to this place in Collyer Quay called Customs House - pretty cool place to chill out and have drinks. I was drinking Coke by the way. Ha ha ha. As I was listening and occasionally acknowledging the conversation, it made me realize a few things. I was looking at my phone during certain times, contemplating whether or not to execute the trade, but I ended up not doing so as my thoughts were astray.

When I was back at the hostel bumped into my neighbor from the Netherlands and I chatted her up about her travels. Marcelle lives in the southern part of the Netherlands where the weather is more cooling. She's a hotel management graduate. Worked 5 months to save 10,000 euros for her travels, then backpacked to Australia for 6 months on a working visa (travelled 3 months and worked 3 months as her $ was running low) before heading over to New Zealand and Fiji for another 3 months. She had to stopover in Singapore for 3 days before heading back to her home country. Marcelle says that she's going to go back to work for another 5 months, save enough money and travel on another working visa to New Zealand as she didn't really had the opportunity to explore the whole country.

Gave in to my tired eyes at 3:00. As I slowly dozed off, the one question I had for myself - How...?

Stunt

I almost missed my flight today. The first thing I did when I woke up was asked myself, "Why is the sky blue at this hour?" Immediately I looked at my phone and panicked when I saw the time... 7:00!!! My flight was at 10:10, and because it was a Monday, I knew the jam would be horrendous. My initial plan was to wake up at 5:00, iron my clothes and pack my stuff properly before following Darren out, and hitching the bus from KL Sentral at 8:00. I quickly called my usual cab driver, and luckily he was around the area and had no booking. I then grab whatever clothes I could, put them in a bag, took a 3 minute shower and left. Thank goodness that it was the start of semester break, so the jam wasn't that bad. Made it to the airport 1 hour before flight time.

Excerpt from today's reading:-

Here I am at the beach staring and
Wondering what lies across the horizon
With hopes and dreams of being the one
I silently pray every night

When will I see you again
You've been away for some time now
I remember the last time I saw you
You had a smile as bright as the sun
This feeling of miss I despise

Later going back to iron my clothes, they're all a mess! That's what happens when you do things last minute ;p To those driving back home, safe journey and may you have a good night's sleep today filled with wonderful dreams. Me @ Level 7 lobby, MBC

Relaxing Sunday

Underestimated the load at my bro's place. Thought we could move the stuff with one journey, but it ain't possible. So it looks like we've got to do another round on Thursday. Went jogging up the hill at Cemerlang Heights earlier - damn exhausted! Came up with a crazy idea, next month we're going to go stay at Genting on a weekend, take the cable car down to Gohtong Jaya, and jog back all the way up to the hotel again.
Decided to go for a foot massage in Wangsa Maju to pamper ourselves, after a hard day's work. It was okay, though I would have preferred a male masseuse as the strength would have been harder (I've got thick skin. LOL). On the other hand, Darren got a male masseuse and quite often, he was practically telling the masseuse to press a little lighter as it was painful. Anyway, 1-1/2 hour RM78, so quite reasonable. Will come back again next time.

Off for a day tomorrow, and back to work again on Tuesday...

Necessary?

Went to Jusco earlier to look for a portable air con, as the weather's been really hot lately and I practically sweat my shirt every night. They did not have stock, and it required 2 weeks for delivery, so I put the idea on hold. As I was walking around, I saw a mother and her kid. She was holding leash, and pulling on it, as the little boy followed. There were times when he was dragged as the mother was walking at her pace, and the kid was a little slow. Nowadays, kids are so hyper that it is difficult to keep up with them. Imagine yourself in a mall having to chase after your kid. And many accidents involving kids on the road have been prevented.  Personally, I am against it, as I believe that parents should be holding their kids' hand.

Excerpt:-

There's a war going on in my mind
One side fighting for you
The other fighting against you
The battle between love and hate
Look here, I'm telling you...

I believe we were meant to be
Though different, we're both the same
In love with each other but shy to admit
Waiting for either side to surrender

I raise my white flag
I give up to you
Telling you right now
That I am yours to be
Won't you please tell me so too

Need to go pack up Nick's stuff tomorrow.

Cook

It seemed like Monday yesterday, and now it is already Friday night?!?! Is it me or does time really fly by that fast? We had a cooking competition themed "Iron Chef" today, and 14 people participated. Well I didn't cook cause if I did, we'd probably have to declare Monday as a special holiday. Ha ha ha. But I am determined to learn! My brother left behind a lot of cooking utensils when he migrated, so I shall make good use of them by starting to learn how to cook (other stuff apart from maggie!) ;)

The light at the end of the tunnel is approaching, so got to work harder to accelerate towards it.

Excerpt from today's reading:-

Worst thing about being alone
Is there's no one to turn to
I prayed for someone to come
And in distance you appeared

Can't think of anything right now
This would is getting deeper
Piercing through my heart, eating up my soul
I need someone, someone to help me now

Calling SOS for my heart to live
Need an ounce of love
To revive this dying soul
Say the magic words, and I shall live again

Thought of watching MIB 3, but I'll probably watch it during the weekday next week. Have a great weekend folks, for those who are recovering, remember to follow your doctor's advice. Signing off @ home.

When I'm Alone I...

This was a question posed on the radio yesterday. So people tend to do things they wouldn't normally do when in public. What do you do when you're alone?

Excerpt from today's reading:-

These days have become tiring
The weaather is everchanging
My hands and legs are numb
And my heart beats no more

I saw you on the sidewalk
You gave my life by giving me love
The love that I have always hoped for
Has now disappeared with the wind

It has always been you who
Holds the keys that open the door
To my heart...

Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage ~ Lao Tzu

Time to leave the office now... To folks who are driving, be careful on the road, to those who are walking, look both ways before crossing :) Signing off @ 18 WS 014

Timing & Execution

Left work on time today. Had dinner with Jason and was at his place - back to basics. As I go back through the learning, I realize that timing is important in most aspects, and execution is the one thing that determines whether or not it is successful. Reminds me of how I started off in my career at the current company I worked for. I was lucky to get in, but it was how I leveraged on my skills and also timing that got me to where I am today.

And I ask myself what was wrong with the timing and execution in that situation...

Excerpt from today's reading:-

The lights are off and it is dark
I can't see nor feel your presence
You left when I needed you most
My heart shattered and hurt deeply

I... can't understand
Why it has to be this way
When it was so good
It suddenly turned bad
Because I said, " love you"

Please don't go, stay here with me
You are the light of my life
And food for my soul
You are the one I call eternity.
Back home and just showered. Going to sign off now. Wishing everyone good health, especially for those who are not feeling well, may you recover swiftly, and shine bright again. Signing off @ home

It Feels Different

"A woman's loyalty is tested when her man has nothing... A man's loyalty is tested when he has everything..." read this on a friend's Facebook wall earlier, and I find it's true. Work was pretty slow today. Bro landed safe and sound in Sydney, and he'll be in Adelaide tomorrow. Though I don't normally see him every day, it does feel different knowing that he's no longer in Wangsa Maju, especially when I need to look for him for consultation. Well, no matter how advance our technology is today, I guess it can never substitute physical presence huh. And so it makes me think a little deeper...

Excerpt from today's reading

Today is a brand new day
Woke up early with hopes
Looked out my bedroom window
Hoping to catch a glance of
The sunshine next door

You stared back with a smile
Blowing a kiss of love and warmth
Catching it with my heart wide open
It's now spring time in my heart

Five years down the road
You're no longer here
I still stare out my bedroom window
I see you, I feel your presence
But you're no longer here

Back to watching Knight Rider. I wonder how things are getting on. Though the distance is near, it seems farther now than it was before. Sweet dreams everyone.

Farewell Bro~

My dear brother and sis-in-law leaves for Australia tonight. Was at bro's place earlier, helping to move some stuff and of course there's some stuff which he left for me (I am selling all the liquors :P). Wishing him the very best over there, and am certain that he will succeed in his future endeavours. Mom and dad wants to travel to Australia next year to meet him. But they want to go China first, so I may need to go China and scout a bit.

Excerpt from today's reading:-
Today I bid you farewell
Not knowing when will I see you again
Flashbacks of memories we shared
Both good and bad
We were one happy family
The land abroad looks promising
A good life awaits
But you must first ensure the challenge
I wish you all the best

I'm going to call it an early night today. To those who will be travelling, I wish you a safe and pleasant journey home. Signing off @ home.

Compatibility

Was not able to update on Friday and Saturday. Computer at the office didn't allow access to blogger, and the computer at the hostel wasn't that great. I was moved the hostel I originally booked to another one of their branches (there was a Herbalife expo going on and most of the hotels in town were practically fully booked). Anyway, I did nothing much this trip, except watched a movie on Friday. On Saturday, I decided to spend my time in the office as I had nothing to do after I checked out. I ended up watching Ghost Protocol on my mobile until it was 17:00 before I headed for the airport.

I met 2 Italian tourists on my way back. Decided to be helpful and showed them to their hotel near KLCC. They'll be in Singapore from the 26 - 29 so I'll probably see them again when I'm there. Nice chaps.

Was thinking about compatibility and I thought of the Shrek and Fiona. We see it a lot in movies, people giving up everything they have just to be with someone they love. It's touching but seriously, in a real world, does it exist? Some of us like to think it would... :)

Excerpt from today's reading:-

When I think of you
I see hope in the future that lies ahead
When I think of you
I strive for a better way of life

When I see you
My cheeks turn red and I blush
When I see you
I see happiness in every living soul

When I find you
I will hold you in my arms
When I find you
I know that I have found love

I'm calling it a night. Signing off @ home

My Weekend Starts

Yipee! My off day starts tomorrow. Since I'm not doing US, I thought of going for the Night Safari. Heard it's good. I haven't even packed anything - but no matter since it's only a 2-day trip.

Excerpt from today's reading:-

Drifting apart slowly and painfully
I tried to hang on tight to
But there's nothing I can do
To prevent you from leaving

The waves are too strong
Washing away every moment we once shared
The sand on the beach once beared our initials
Is now no more.

I'll draw it again and again...

Time to sleep. Have to wake up at 3:00 tomorrow as my flight is at 6:15. Good night to you and may you be blessed with wonderful dreams. Signing off @ home

Could Not Wake Up

The alarm rang four times this morning, and I remember hearing it, but somehow I decided to ignore it and it ended in me getting up at 7:00. I was sort of late, so I took a quick shower and quickly made my way to the station (I remembered to brush my teeth :P). Reached the office 10 minutes before start time, but with a trade off, I was sweating all over. Luckily I didn't stink (eeuuuwww). Left the office at about 16:00 as I had some chores to attend to. Didn't have lunch today, instead went to change money. SGD now sells for 2.463! So I lost about RM100 compared to a month and a half back when it was at a much lower rate. Had taufu far for lunch, and at dinner time, I wasn't that stuffed after eating with my brother :)

Excerpt from today's reading:-

Today seems different
Thinking about what's happened
Something is missing from the menu
Food for the soul isn't here

Trying to look for you
I searched high and low
All I could find were glimpses of you
Sweet memories I will always remember

Back home now, watching Knight Rider. Hope that your day went well, and now it's time to put the day to rest and rejuvenate yourselves. Signing off @ home

Eat and Eat and Eat

Been doing that a lot today. Had my apples and bananas this morning, followed by a foot long subway sandwich (buy 6 inch free another 6 inch), then a little snack before I went to my brother's place, and then dinner. My stomach is bloated now. LOL. Well I guess it will continue to be like this, at least until next Monday. When I came back home, one of the lifts were down, and because I did not want to get squished in a lift, I decided to walk up 14 floors. So that sort of burned 10% of what I ate today? Ha ha ha

Can't believe tomorrow is Wednesday already, mid week! Looking forward to Friday when I travel to meet my team mates. The thought about 'loyalty' came to mind today, about how it's defined. Probably blog about it tomorrow.

Excerpt from today's reading:-

Have been standing here since yesterday
Hours turning into days
And days turning into months
Longing to see you

We shared our joy laughter and tears
We shared everything there is to be
But somehow we drifted apart
The feeling changed, I don't know why

I'm waiting and still waiting
For you to come back to me
I want to hug you in my arms
I want to kiss you and feel your love
I'm waiting and waiting for you
To return to where we once were before

I guess I had better get going. Hope that the day was great and tomorrow will even be a better one for you. Signing off @ home.

Dinner With Brother

Managed to wake up at 5:00 this morning and went for a jog. Mondays will always be Mondays - packed with work built over the weekend. Am having dinner every day this week with my brother before he leaves for Adelaide next Monday. So we're practically eating only Malaysian food this week. Guess  food in Australia ain't as good as it is here, at least that's what most of my Malaysian friends said when they studied and worked there.

Excerpt from today's reading:-

We search and search our whole lives
For that something that lights up our life
Over the valley and around the world
I searched with hope and never giving up

What a fool I am
I failed to see what was right here in front of me
That voice, the gentle touch
And the tenderness of your hug
You were right here all along

Going to watch another series of Knight Rider first before I go to sleep. Wish that the weather is sunny bright tomorrow so that those traveling will have a great time. Signing off @ home.

Faith

Got up at 5:00 this morning and went back to sleep again until 11:00. Watched "The Prince of Egypt" on YouTube earlier. The story is about Moses' life, an adaption from the book of Exodus in the Bible. Good to watch. In the movie Moses said, "Pharaoh has the power. He can take away your food, your home, your freedom. He can take away your sons and daughters. With one word Pharaoh can take away your very lives. But there is one thing he cannot take away from you - your faith. Believe for we will see God's wonders."

And that is how important our faith is, regardless of religious views, a person's faith is what holds him or her true to their beliefs. There are times when our hopes and dreams may be shattered, and it feels like tomorrow isn't worth fighting for. It is during these times, that our faiths are tested, and for those of us who hold strong onto it, will see the light.

Month end training has been cancelled (there goes my nice hotel stay...) so practically got nothing on my agenda. Probably a good time to visit the zoo if I decide to go. I'll decide when the time comes.

Excerpt from today's reading:-

Remember seeing you sometime back
The very same person I fell in love with
In past lives our paths crossed
Over and over again until the present day

Mysteriously working its magic
Found you in a place I never thought I would
I prayed and hold on to my faith
And so fate has brought us together again

Brother's back in town from Labuan so I'll go catch up with him shortly, he leaves for good to Australia next Monday. And oh yeah, got to call mom and wish her Happy Mother's Day. To those who are mothers and whose mothers are still around, I wish you a wonderful and fulfilling time with your family. Signing off @ home :)

Unproductive Saturday

Forgot I bought iced tea in the afternoon and left it in the freezer until now

Been sitting at home, watching drama and sleeping most of the day. Went out to office earlier to get my Blackberry, but that was about it. Dreamt of the days when me and a couple of friends worked at a Shell gas station during our year end school holidays. That was also when I had my first time clubbing experience, got drunk, berserk threw into the back of a lorry and sent back home. Ha ha ha. Going back to watching Avatar now. Trying to make myself sleepy...

Pencil and Eraser

Read something interesting on one of a friend's facebook wall 2 days ago... "If you can't be a pencil to write anyone's happiness, try to be a nice eraser to remove someone's sadness."

Excerpt from today's reading:-

Walking on a thin rope
I see the circus man do
Seems like a walk in the park
But in reality is difficult to do

Sometimes afraid of falling
Do not want to hurt or get hurt
But if you never fall
You'll never learn to pick yourself up

With you, it's about taking risks
I never thought I would do
But I do it all when I am with you
Not afraid to fall anymore
As you taught me to rise

A little mixed feelings today - feel really happy, but at the same time some uncertainty. Probably due to the change in climate? Ha ha ha. Wishing those who are travelling a safe an enjoyable holiday. Signing off @ 18 WS 014

A Moment to Breathe

Yay! Tough part of work's over, a little time to rest and relax before going back to BAU. A lot of things were learned and overall I think that a benefit for the team in our aspirations of reaching newer heights. Darren's out of town so the house is pretty much going to be empty till Sunday. Tomorrow's Friday and for once after a long time, I feel that it is really going to be a Friday (hope I don't jinx it).

Excerpt from today's reading:-

Getting a kite to fly
Needs a lot of skill and patience
Connected to the person by a string

How high can it fly

Distance apart from you
The wind blowing strong
Further and further away
I see you go

Feel like pulling the string back

Knowing it will break if I do
Wish the wind will once again blow
Bringing you back, and for us to be
Where we once were before

Time to go home now. Hope that you're having a sumptuous meal and enjoying your everning. Signing off @ 18 WS 014. See you later alligator

Thank Goodness

Got a text from dad earlier that mom met with an accident. For a moment there my heart fell. She was knocked by an army jeep from behind. Didn't really know what happened but it was settled. Minor damage on the car but most importantly thank goodness that she's okay.

Audit's almost over :) One more item to go tomorrow. Had heavy lunch today, so I am going to skip dinner. Suddenly having mixed feelings about something.

Excerpt from today's reading:-

Day in, day out
Most of us work for a living
And I am just one of the many
Looking forward to a better day every day

Things changed when I met you
The sun shined every day
Colorful rainbow every morning
Birds singing in the sky

When you're away
Dark clouds come out of no where
The day now becomes gloomy
And It starts to rain heavily

I have a question to ask
How do I ask you
Every time when I see you
My heart beats with excitement
But also fear...

Late Lunch

Having lunch now (this audit exercise is killing me). Went down to get Subway, and was delighted when I saw the soup of the day that was serving - Mushroom soup! Unfortunately when the waitress went and tested the soup, she said it's already spoilt. Just my luck! Anyway, Subway is having the 'buy one free one 6" sandwich' again this year till June 30th, more motivation for me to eat Subway every day. LOL.

Thinking of heading to the gym at 21:00 when I leave the office later. Thought of sweating off the stress from 2 days ago.

Read this from Dummies.com and found it interesting so I thought I'd share :)

Got to get back to work. Apparently there's some sort of mathematical requirement for me to fulfill tomorrow. Oh boy, am I in trouble. Ha ha ha. Weather's been rather uncertain lately and it could probably cause many of us to fall sick. I hope you take care - make sure to have lots of vitamin C (not over doze), drink lots of water to keep yourself hydrated, and most importantly, stay jolly. Signing off from 18B meeting room.

Quick Note

Quick break before continuing back to work. Went downstairs and bought myself a 3/4 foot-long (gave 1/4 to Ryan) veggie delight sandwich at Subway. My team mates said I lost weight recently - that's what no rice for a week and a half does :). Today's pretty stressful with training and the deliverable. Behind some emails but hopefully all will be back to normal by next week. Supposed to jog with Darren today, but I think that's not going to happen, seeing that the earliest I leave office is at 22:30. Oh well, sometimes you win some and sometimes you lose some I guess. Perks of the job...

Excerpt from today's reading:-

I dreamt of fireworks last night
Sitting with you by the lake
We were admiring them as they burst
Into colorful patterns in the sky

Made a firework of my own
When it flies up high into the sky
It bursts into 7 colors of the rainbow reading
"Always and forever we will be"

With a matchstick in my hand
I will wait for you by the lake
Hoping that you will turn up
And light that firework together with me

Okay, back to work... I wish you less stress and ample amount of sleep. Signing off @ 18 WS 014

Bon Voyage

Taken at the garden of Hotel Puri, Malacca

Just got back not long ago. Parents flight is at 19:00 and they are taking the ERL to the airport together with my brother. I'm exhausted but overall, feel happy cause they came. Next year, they want to travel to Adelaide to visit my brother who will be migrating there this month. I remember me posting some time back, about dad being fearful about flying, but now he's changed, simply because the purpose (visiting us) overcame that fear. We should not be afraid to take chances some time, if it's worth the risk? I know I'm not

Excerpt from today's reading:-

It's 3:00 AM and I'm lying on my bed
Looking at my phone and waiting
Hoping to receive a message from you
Saying you're okay

The day is lit up with your presence
My heart beats at a joyful rate
And everything is like in wonderland
I knew I found love when I met you

I wonder where you are
Your message never came
Hopeful that one day you'll return
This feeling will always be the same

Back to work again tomorrow. Hoping that a peaceful night filled with serenity is bestowed upon you. Signing off @ home :)

Untitled

Last night parents in town. Dad did a funny thing just now. After I checked in, he was inspecting everything (used to be in the hotel industry). As he was checking the toilet seat, he turned on the washer (the one used to clean you know what). As the water.didn't came out he bent down to take a closer look. The next thing he knew, the water came splashing out and it hit his face. He came out laughing at himself. Ha ha ha. No reading today. Eyes are tired. I've kept something wonder whether or not it will be found. Only time will tell

Malacca Again

Back in Malacca again, this time with family. Dad's first time driving in KL as uncle was sleepy on the highway. Back in Labuan, we had 2 lanes on the highway, but it was 3 and even up to 4 lanes here on certain highways. Dad drove pretty well, actually even better than my uncle who has been driving in KL for more than 20 years. Ha ha.

Reached Malacca around 18:30, checked in the hotel and went hunting for dinner. Looking for food wasn't easy because my dad is particular with food - vegetables only, no sauce, and very little oil. In Malacca, it's difficult to find. Anyway, we found a hawker stall across the street from Dataran Pahlawan and had dinner there.

After dinner, went on to shop for mom's handbag at Bonia, had Starbucks coffee and then came back to the hotel. Supposed to stroll through Jonker but everyone is exhausted. So I came down, blogging now and will go out shortly after.

 Excerpt from today's reading:-

Had a dream about you last night
In it, I was king and you were my queen
We had everything in life and no despair
In a world so perfect, it's hard to believe

Woke up in the morning with a smile
Though it was just a dream
It is also and inspiration for me
For you are and will always be
The queen to my heart

Going to head to Jonker now. To those who are suffering from pain, I wish you a speedy recovery and healing through compassion and love. Signing off @ Hotel Puri

Will be heading off to Malacca later and staying a night there before returning to KL tomorrow, and my parents leave on Sunday morning.

Heard this song on the radio when I was on my way back to KL. This was sung by Justin Timberlake when he was still a part of N'Sync. Classic eh... But still nice and meaningful :)

"This I Promise You"

Ohh ohh...

When the visions around you,
Bring tears to your eyes
And all that surround you,
Are secrets and lies
I'll be your strength,
I'll give you hope,
Keeping your faith when it's gone
The one you should call,
Was standing here all along..

And I will take
You in my arms
And hold you right where you belong
Till the day my life is through
This I promise you
This I promise you

I've loved you forever,
In lifetimes before
And I promise you never...
Will you hurt anymore
I give you my word
I give you my heart (give you my heart)
This is a battle we've won
And with this vow,
Forever has now begun...

Just close your eyes (close your eyes)
Each loving day (each loving day)
I know this feeling won't go away (no..)
Till the day my life is through
This I promise you..
This I promise you..

Over and over I fall (over and over I fall)
When I hear you call
Without you in my life baby
I just wouldn't be living at all...

And I will take (I will take you in my arms)
You in my arms
And hold you right where you belong (right where you belong)
Till the day my life is through
This I promise you baby

Just close your eyes
Each loving day (each loving day)
I know this feeling won't go away (no..)
Every word I say is true
This I promise you

Every word I say is true
This I promise you
Ooh, I promise you...

@ Cameron Highlands

I'm now at the lobby in the hotel. The crisp cool air is simply marvellous. I can live like this for a long long time :p. Had dinner earlier at one of the Chinese coffee shops in Berinchang (will share photos when I get back).

Excerpt from today's reading:-

Browsing through my phone contacts
I search your name and it appears
I type a simple message dedicated to you
But I never end up sending it to you

Afraid that you'll shy away
I decide to hide my feelings for you
May not the best thing for me
But sure is the best thing for you

I love you, this is my true feelings
Difficult to hide something sincere
I do it because love overcomes everything
Maybe this one day you will know

I still keep a draft of these messages
Hoping that I will be able to share them with you one day
If that day ever comes
We'll both be lovers by destity.

Time for me to go back up and take a hot shower. I hope, for those who are in pain, that you heal swiftly. Rest well and don't stress yourself. Signing off from the lobby @ Hotel De La Ferns

有多少爱可以重来

This one's a classic. Siang Wen (high school mate) used to sing to it, adding a little of his own words into it :)

I'm off to Cameron Highlands tomorrow. Hopefully there's Internet connection there :P I wish you have a good sleep and sweet dreams. Signing off @ Dorsett Regency

Forgiveness (Part 2)

Feeling much better today after sleeping for more than 10 hours. Come to think of it, I can feel that I am really starting to age. 5 years ago, I could stay awake for 2 days and still feel okay.
So back to last night's statement of "To forgive is to be kind to one's self". What does this mean? How can forgiving be act that is kind to yourself. Shouldn't it be kind to the receiving party, who supposedly  offended you in the first place?
Naturally we're born to be good. Anger and grudge are both negative feelings that go against that nature. Take for example, when someone pisses you off, and you decide instead of forgiving, to be angry with that person. So whenever you think of that person, or who knows bump into that person one fine day, you'll be filled with anger, hurt, and probably avoid that person by ignoring, walking away, etc. That eats into your soul, and you will eventually feel uneasy about it. You'd probably get use to it (some of us do), but that creates a scar in your heart, one that if you don't let go, you'll have to live with for the rest of your life (or a very very long time).
On the flip side, assuming you forgive that person, you'd feel lighter (less burden), life becomes more beautiful as you're filled with positive feelings. So don't you think that forgiving is an act of kindness to yourself.
We all have our pasts, both bitter and sweet. What is important is not for us to judge each other based on our past (we're not God, and even God forgives us if we repent), but rather to look at it as it is now, and shape the future as we want to see it.

Excerpt from today's reading:-
We've known each other for quite a while
We shared our secrets, tears and joy
As time flies by, hours turn into days
Days turn into months, I fell for you

Never read the signs nor the look in your eyes
Telling me to go slow and be patient
I ended up crashing and regretting
Breaking down in tears as I see you go

You're gone now and I will never know
Will you come back remains a mystery
With an abundance of courage and faith
I wait here every day for your return

Loving you is a beautiful thing
You make my life complete
I wanted to tell you when that day comes
I love you and I want to be a part of your life
