Lethargic

Let's see... Had an unexpectedly heavy lunch, followed by a heavy dinner. There goes 2 days worth of workouts. Been lethargic the whole week, even dozed off without a shower last night. Probably the food I guess... Still, 150 pushups, 3 sets of weights. How long can this last?

Been a while since I penned a letter - as in literally penning one. Going to post it tomorrow. Wondering how long it would take to reach its destination.

Probably will burn candles tonight - trying to finish up a deck for next week's presentation

When things around you don't seem clear
When you feel the world's turning its back on you
I'll be your vision, I'll be your hope
Keeping you warm and safe through it all

Apple

Cael's dessert - apple and cheese

Had a pretty productive day at work today - cleared quite a number of emails thank goodness. Decided to head over to the gym, Thereafter, was at Isetan so I decided to buy some snacks for Cael. The result - his apple and chasse are like 80% of the seats

Sometimes the path may be blurry
Clouded by obstacles life presents
Never stop believing, have strong faith
What doesn't kill you makes your stronger

(None)

Finally managed to enjoy the leg massager
Breakfast, checkout, office, park, airport, dinner, airport, taxi, home. That pretty much summed my day.

Bought 2 pairs of running shirt and pants at a pretty good deal.

You're the one because
My soul feels glad this way
You're the one because
I love you in every way

168 Days... And Couting

Counting down to August 9, 2014, national day of Singapore, and also the day I deliver on a promise to myself. Sounds impossible, but hey, miracles don't happen. We make them happen. They're not wishes or dreams or candles on a cake. They're not impossible. Reality is real.

Catching a glimpse of you, seeing you smile
Even for that very short moment in time
Feels like being on top of the world
It brought an abundance of joy to me

All good things come about in your presence
You gave me life, you gave me hope,
You gave me a reason to look forward
You made me wholesome once again

In memory of those who we hold close to our hearts, may their soul rest in peace...

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.” ~ John 14:1-4

Loss

Just like any another day - 5am call. 8am meeting... and the schedule goes on till 5pm. After a week, inbox reduced to the twenties from hundreds - feeling content!

Went for a Thai massage @ RM48 thanks to Groupon. Male masseuse, asked him to press hard. Result, calves ache like hell  >_<

Back home, 150 pushups (in 6 reps), and doing the laundry. Signed up for trek running in May. Feeling ambitious and determined, enrolled in a 31.5KM run in August ;). Traveling tomorrow, but without an itinerary.

Dealing with death of a loved one is one of life's most difficult experiences. Makes us realize how important it is to value those that are still around, and to cherish those who have passed.

For I know and feel you are in pain
I am there with you, by your side
Giving you comfort and warmth
Until you are once again healed

I shall stand by you...

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.  So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. ~ 2 Corinthians 4:17-18

Zombie

2 hours of sleep after which 10 hours of back to back calls and meetings. To some point, it is getting a bit tiring.

Had breakfast cum lunch cum dinner with an old time friend. Came home to Cael, who was as always, excited and came dashing and later on pounced on me.

Eyes can barely stay open, with a blurry vision.

Sheets and sheets of paper
All to which I've written about you
From the first day we met
Until this very day

Good and bad times, we stick together
It's an obstacle, part and parcel
Of what shapes us into
The perfect match we are today

Be Completely Humble and Gentle...

I've been traveling quite frequently these days, and it looks like I'll be traveling every week over the weekend for God knows how long - technically over the next 3 months as of today. Purpose... *wink*. Because I will be gone over the weekends, I needed to make sure that I don't neglect Cael, so I am more disciplined with my time, making sure that I leave on time and if I need to, carry my laptop home. Sort of another growth for me ;)

Mind was a little bit disturbed earlier. I decided that I needed to sit down and gather my thoughts together, so I started to read some verses of in the Bible. This verse from Ephesians 4:2 stood out...

"Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love."

Sounds easy as a statement, but when I started to reflect upon my actions, I found that it wasn't as easy as it seemed. I sort of thought, to act as such, one would have already been a saint. Then again, we aren't perfect, but the fact that we realize and make conscious decisions to better what we are, is already a positive outcome in itself.

Over the coming weeks, maybe months (hopefully not years), this is verse is going to be so relevant in all my actions, from a personal and work perspective.

Determined

2nd medal :)

Pretty good timing

Completed my 2nd run last weekend. Improved timing from the last burden run. Next run - aiming to clock below 1:10:00.
