Redemption

I wonder what's the best way to redeem myself...

...

Another week has passed, and the one question I've been constantly asking myself these days, "What have I done this week?" All my appliances have arrived. The weekdays have been long but long hours awake and less sleep. Still I find that time isn't enough. During the weekend, I do nothing but sleep, and watch television. Rarely go out except for grocery shopping - good thing in a way as I spend less. But my spending has diverted towards Cael's welfare. The fellow's food costs more than mine!?!?! "Ho miah" as the Hokkien people would put it. Anyway, he's been rather obedient these days. I take him out for his daily 1/2 to 1 hour walk and play with him whenever I can.

Excerpt from today's reading:-

How do I tell you a secret
I don't know the words to say
When do I tell you a secret
The time never seems right

A coward, a fool I am
Not knowing that the clock is ticking on me
Where can I yield the courage
To tell you these words

If I had one last breath
I'd give it to you
If I had one minute
I'd devote it to you

Slacking

I've been rather slow responding these days. I wonder if it's because I'm learning or am I just being lazy?

Excerpt from today's reading:-

You're my guardian angel
You came into my life bringing
Food for my heart and soul
A sanctuary, a place to call home

You shine a light so bright
Even the darkest place turn white
Never again will I be afraid
For you I trust in with everything I've got

*yawn* Time to Zzz...

All In a Month's Time

It's been about a month since my last posting. Cael's fast asleep after a long day, walking around the neighborhood, taking a bath, running up and down the stairs. New job, new place - another new chapter in my life.

Was having dinner at one of the shop nearby earlier. There was a dinner banquet going on nearby (normally after the Chinese ghost festival). When the ceremony was about to begin, the emcee announced that the national anthem was about to be played, and requested everyone at the dinner to stand up in respect of our national anthem, "Negaraku". Shortly, the music began playing (I wasn't standing), I couldn't help but notice two girls, presumably students, standing in a steadfast position not moving, until the anthem was over. Reminded me of the time when I was in primary school, when my PJK (Pendidikan Jasmani & Kesihatan) teacher, Cikgu Yusof, said, "No matter what you're doing, may it be eating, or crossing the road, when the national anthem was being played, you make sure you stand still and not move until it's finished playing". And here were two young ladies who truly understand what respect and love for our country meant - I salute you.

Excerpt from today's reading:-

Just when everyone thought
That it would be the end
I gathered an ounce of faith
And wish upon a shooting star

Little did I knew what was coming
Until the day I first saw you
Dressed in a green blouse
My heart was yours at first sight

... to be continued

Till tomorrow's posting... I wish you a sweet and blissful night's rest.
