Batting Cages

Went to the batting cages at One Utama today... It was fun!!! I tried being a hero by catching a ball coming towards me at 50mph. The result = my right palm hurts now :~

LHDN Owes Me Money... :P

Went and did my taxes earlier, and guess what? I overpaid my taxes!!! So now I get a rebate of about RM500 plus. What did I do with it? Got myself 2 pair of pants, a swimming trunk and a goggle. Total cost = RM 200.

Another good news... I'm below 80 kilos now... Ha ha ha... Hopefully I can shape those abs before my trip to Phuket in June... Work harder Vernon!!!

Cookies Worth Dying For...

I Jean bakes one of the best chocolate chip cookies in town~!!! It's even better than Famous Amos. I wished she'd baked more... especially for me... ha ha ha...

Celebrating Chinese New Year... In KL...

It's so quiet... Luckily I decided to stock up on DVDs yesterday... Hehehe... I can't wait to get back to work tomorrow...

Sunway Pyramid...

The last time I visited to Sunway Pyramid, was like... 2 years ago. I can't believe the place has changed so much! I'm so outdated. Anyway, I was delighted to meet 'burung'. And now... I wonder whether I should call her 'burung' or... 'lollipop' Hahahahaha.....

New Year Resolution

Met up with Mickey for lunch yesterday at Marco Polo Restaurant, located near where I worked If you didn't know.. I work for the World's Most Respected Service Brand - American Express, and its KL office is located in Menara Weld, Jalan Raja Chulan). I never knew that her office was like a 10 minute walk away. Anyway, it was good to be able to catch-up with a friend after such a long time. BTW, she's a part time model!

So, pretty much everyone comes up with a new year resolution, every year. But do we actually strive towards achieving it, or is it just for the sake of coming up with a resolution. I know, for the past 24 years of my life, I've never really had a "New Year Resolution". But this year, I am came up with one. Odd? I'd like to think of it as destiny's call. Ha ha ha. My resolution for 2010 is to 'focus on more philanthropic activities'. Why? Because there are a lot of people in this World who need help, but there's just too few people offering it. I hope to make a positive difference to other people's life. That's the least I can do, after all the blessings that I've received in this wonderful life.

Although it is hard to truly understand Buddhism, if we try diligently, we will do so and thus receive the benefits. However, if we merely study Buddhism, we will miss this rarest of opportunities. ~ Venerable Master Chin Kung

What's on for Today...

It's was a pretty bored weekend for me. I was in the office till late afternoon on Saturday, so I practically fell dead asleep till Sunday morning (there goes my first off day). On Sunday, I helped a collegue moved and I met up with Bobby (Workforce Planner from Sydney) and Richard (Credit Manager from Singapore) for dinner as they're down in KL for business.

I wonder what's up with Monkey lately as there's been some change in Monkey's attitude. I wouldn't say that it's bad, nor is it good as well. I wonder if I'm weird or otherwise.

Finally... A Diploma ^_^

I just received my final results for the last 4 subjects in my Diploma course, and I am extremely happy because I passed all of them. The grades are:-

Quantitative Methods & Statistics - A
Accounting Principles - B
Management Accounting - B
Commercial Law - C

So now I'm going to sit back an relax for a while before continuing onto my Bachelors/Masters.

It is a rare opportunity to encounter Buddhism. The hindrance to this is the selfishness that has been accumulated over infinite lifetimes and which is very strong ~ Venerable Master Chin Kung

MIA - Missing in Action

Wow... I can't believe it!!! It's been over a month since I last updated anything, and it's already 2010. Reflecting upon things that happen during the past 1 month...

• We discovered a snooker joint in front of the office. Nice 'recreational' place, and my official nickname is now 'Bank Negara' cause I always seem to lose whenever I play with my mates. Darn the Old Fox!!!
• I'm now a zoo keeper (technically speaking), tasked with taking care of crazy Monkey, who seems to be unpredictable. Above all, I love my job!

Pretty short list for a whole month right!?!? I'm sure that there's lots more, but I just can't seem to recall them. I've got this short-term memory lost problem.

Anyway, since it's the start of a new decade, people have been asking me what's my new year resolution... Try to keep my room clean and tidy at all times! Ha ha ha...
