2 days ago, a colleague was nearly robbed at the parking area in front of the Shell Gas Station on Raja Chulan. Luckily she locked her car the moment she got in. The robber, covered with a mask, was at the door when she locked it. She kept honking, and he eventually ran away. Another colleague who was working shift finished at 22:00 last night, parked at the same spot (unfortunately for us parking space is scarce in KL). So, since I was at the office, I offered to accompany her there - sort of escort services eh! LOL
People were queuing up for tickets, as the 1997 movie makes its return in 3D onto cinema screens worldwide last week. I remember the time when I watched "Titanic" back then - It was a pirated VCD which I bought for RM15 in FP. I was at my aunt's place using her computer to watch the movie, together with my friend. The scene which we liked the most was the part where Rose posed for Jack to sketch (what can I say, we were 13 back then with raging hormones... Ha ha ha)
I couldn't watched the 3D-dubbed version because I get dizzy whenever I watch 3D movies. But what seemed tinkle in my thoughts were the words, "You Jump, I Jump" I reckon most people can relate to the movie through these words...(copyright imdb.com)
Jack: Rose, you're no picnic, all right? You're a spoiled little brat, even, but under that, you're the most amazingly, astounding, wonderful girl, woman that I've ever known...
Rose: Jack, I...
Jack: No, let me try and get this out. You're ama- I'm not an idiot, I know how the world works. I've got ten bucks in my pocket, I have no-nothing to offer you and I know that. I understand. But I'm too involved now. You jump, I jump remember? I can't turn away without knowing you'll be all right... That's all that I want.
Rose: Well, I'm fine... I'll be fine... really.
Jack: Really? I don't think so. They've got you trapped, Rose. And you're gonna die if you don't break free. Maybe not right away because you're strong but... sooner or later that fire that I love about you, Rose... that fire's gonna burn out...
Rose: It's not up to you to save me, Jack.
Jack: You're right... only you can do that.
I think it's about falling in love - to the other person and taking a leap of faith, for him/her not knowing what lies ahead. It's about commitment - staying true to one another. It's about choice - the receiver choosing whether or not to receive wtih gratitute, what the giver is giving with sincerity.
Love is of all passions the strongest, for it attacks simultaneously the head, the heart and the senses ~ Lao Tzu
