Joanne having her lunch, a very very big bowl ;)
Touched down in LCCT at 2200 and immediately took a cab back home. Unpacked, bathed, and penning down what I went through today. So things in Singapore are practically reasonable, and you'll be shocked by the fact, that the cost of living in Singapore is actually lower than it is in KL (dollar to dollar of course). Bought an apple, orange, pear, and 2 papaya at the price of $3.80. If I were to buy the same type of fruits in KL, it would at least cost me RM7 - RM8.
Another good thing about the office in Singapore - direct access to the gym from the 7th floor. Superb. Didn't get to jog in Berlayer Creek this morning though, as it was raining cats and dogs. The wind was blowing so strong that I was soaking wet when I reached the office. The gym's hair dryer did its magic by sort of drying my clothes after. Had lunch with Joanne at Crystal Jade, somewhere near the office as well
Life throws us a lot of challenges, and sometimes it feels so tiring to face these challenges that giving up seems to be the better and easy way out. It can be done and most of us do it, even me. But is running away all the time going to cut it? It's like playing a video game - you play, you lose and you keep on continuing until you conquer the game (sometimes people use cheat codes ;p). But bottom line, the objective is to complete the game. Why did you play the game in the first place, and even after losing, you keep on trying until you've won? There are many views on this. Mine revolves around one's need for certainty and uncertainty + the will to succeed. All of us to need an amount of certainty, take for example our jobs - the certainty that we'll get paid during end of the month (otherwise we wouldn't bother working). At the same we require some uncertainty (a challenging project, a certain amount pressure, etc.) to balance it out. What happens when either one becomes too overwhelming? To be continued...
