Love Is In The Air

Got myself checked in after leaving the office at 6-ish. Decided to go scout for dinner 'jalan jalan cari makan' - practically everywhere was packed so I ended up just having 'Laksa' at the food court in Central. I also found out that I can use Brunei dollars in Singapore?

Dinner at $4.80 including drink. Pretty reasonable

Anyway, after dinner I decided to take a stroll at Harbour Front. I didn't know that one could walk all the way from Vivo City to Sentosa Island. So I did that - was about +/- a 1 kilometre walk to and back. Along the way saw many couples sitting down side by side, eating or either gazing up into the sky, admiring the stars shining brightly. Seeing this made me smile, and thought of quote from Notting Hill, when Julia Roberts told Hugh Grant, "Don't forget I'm just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her".

This was taken in Clark Quay... 2 stars that are distant to each other. One shining brightly the other rather dim. Will their distance grow?

Tick Tock Tick Tock

Clock ticking, just as our lives are ticking away. Have we really thought of what we've been doing all this while?

That's exactly what I am hearing right now - this big wall clock that's on my colleague's desk ticking. Though it can be stressful, it reminds me that my own lifetimer is ticking too. Of course I do not know how many ticks are left, which sometimes make me take things for granted. Imagine if everyone in the universe know when their time would be up, would they spend it doing meaningful things, or would they waste it even more? To each is own I guess.

A lot of people. I don't really like to be cramped up

Changi > Tanah Merah > Outram Park > Harbour Front > Labrador Park - That's where I am right now :) And the best part, I did was walking either underground or under the shade, did not even need to cross the road. Now that's real public transportation.

24 Hours

Took the train to Kajang today to meet Lourdes before heading over to Cyberjaya for our quarterly testing. It's been 4 years since I last took the KTM. I was lucky enough to get on one of those new '1 Malaysia' trains. Took a short 30 second video of the environment in the train.

It was very cold in the train - even for me. Look at the guy sleeping nicely.. :)

Met Lourdes at the station and we headed for Cyberjaya. Did the test and came back down to town. It was horrible jam - probably due to the Jobstreet Career Fair, starting today, all the way through Sunday.

Vending machine at the Cyberjaya office. I wish we had one like that in the Weld too ;p

Today, I decided to leave the office earlier, and I am home now, instead of the office, while I blog this. Ha ha ha. Chatted up the cab driver on my way home again, and he was sharing with me his experience when he was in Singapore 32 years ago! He was contractor earning about SGD$18 per day back then, and it was considered a lot. So much has changed since then according to him.

I am still thinking of what should I be doing tomorrow... And life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's learning to dance in the rain. Sometimes when we decide to dance and not take shelter, we fall sick but you never know until you try it. 24 hours...

TGIF - Thursday Going Into Friday

2030 - Just finished an interview
2035 - Having maggie mee (again)
2048 - Call testing
2300 - Go home (I hope?)

I think I lost my ID badge. Went to minta tunjuk ajar on Tuesday, and I thought I left it at Jason's place but it ain't there. And I will be travelling. Bad timing for this to happen.

I am still thinking on how would I be spending my weekend now? Church on Sunday morning, movies in the afternoon. Sounds like a full proof plan, but lately I somehow feel jinxed as things have been going the wrong way (or is it the right way?)

Was browsing through and I found this...

"At times, it may be worth the wait. And if you 'free fall' I promise to pull open your parachute, so that you land safely on your feet. Only if you believe :)"

Just because we don't see things, it does not mean they're not there. We can't see the future, yet we know it will come. Can't see the air, but we still breathe. And faith is about believing in something, even though when all odds in the universe tells you you're wrong.

Leisure time's up, back to work... *whip* LOL

The Road Not Taken ~ Robert Frost

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I marked the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Written back in 1920 by Mr Frost, this poem seems to have a lot of bearing on how I feel. I remember studying this for my exams sometime back in Form 4 and 5, yet it did not mean so much to me compared to now. It's about making choices in life, being true to myself and seeking the one choice that makes me wholesome instead of the one perceived 'best' by the society.

I've made a decision by burning the bridge behind me, and walking down this path. Yet as I continue to journey through, things are starting to become blurry. Gone were the days when asking for directions were possible, as it's now a one way road. Or is it that I am simply afraid to be told that decision I made was a wrong one, and hence I do not ask? What should I do? I ask myself this question everyday, I would if I could. We shall wait and see...

Living Life

What a mess

Could not wake up at 4:00 AM as planned today as body was aching - signs of old age. LOL. Thought of hitching a ride with Darren to the train station, but was shocked when I saw both his eye were swollen red (probably due to the porridge mixed with abalone he cooked the night before?).

Good news: Found extra RM50 in my bag as I was cleaning it up. Yeah I know... I have got short term memory - another sign of old age :P.

Went to meet my 'shi fu' earlier to jog my memory and refresh my software. It was then did I realize that the account I opened was US based when I intended it to be based out of Singapore for ease of withdrawing in the future. Now have to resubmit my documents again - damn :(

Today was rather weird, I wonder why. Something is missing but I can't seem to figure out what? Tangible or non tangible, big or small, alive or not? Question to self - Where can I find everlasting faith if I lose it? Was thinking about this the whole day and can't seem to find the answer.

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let us down, probably will. You'll have your heart broken and you'll break others' hearts. You'll fight with your best friend or maybe even fall in love with them, and you'll cry because time is flying by. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, forgive freely, and love like you've never been hurt. Life comes with no guarantees, no time outs, no second chances. you just have to live life to the fullest, tell someone what they mean to you and tell someone off, speak out, dance in the pouring rain, hold someone's hand, comfort a friend, fall asleep watching the sun come up, stay up late, be a flirt, and smile until your face hurts. Don't be afraid to take chances or fall in love and most of all, live in the moment because every second you spend angry or upset is a second of happiness you can never get back.

Busy Week Ahead

Dinner at my workstation. There goes the 15 laps... ha ha ha

Woke up at 4:30 AM and went for a jog in the garden outside my condo. Did 15 laps, and went back upstairs to iron my clothes, before heading to the gym for a steam bath and a nice hot shower. Saw two very chiseled males walking into the changing room together. The room was big enough for a person to change, and 2 males walking in. What were they doing? Didn't hear any sound effects though :P

This week is going to be rather packed. Tons of meetings and interviews. So I am looking forward the weekend. Don't know what's in store but anything or nothing goes I guess? Worst case scenario - drown myself at work. LOL. After all, there is a gym downstairs so I can even go for a swim, which reminds me I need to apply for my tag and gym passport.

Are you happy with yourself and your life 'right now'? This is important because "right nows" are all we have.

Time to get back to work...

Dying in Sin

From beans to sprout
Went to shop for some clothes at Jusco today - accidentally opened the door of a fitting room when a girl was inside... Her mother was like "Oi". I apologized but was thinking to myself, "Shouldn't she have locked the door in the first place?" Anyway, she wasn't really 'trying on' anything so there wasn't any damage. If this happened to me in China during one of the olden dynasty, I would have to marry that girl. Ha ha ha.
Was back in the office to finish up some work - first time I've been going to the office for 7 days in a row. The last time I did that was like 3 years ago. Just like the good old days :). Went to gym and was on the treadmill for 35 minutes today!
I found today's sermon rather related to many of us, where the priest spoke about "Dying in Sin". He used green beans turning into bean sprouts as an analogy (I'm sure many of us would have done this as a science experiment during primary school days). I interpreted the teaching as follow:-
The bean is dropped to the grounds, dies, and become a new life - the bean sprout. Think of the bean as our sins, the bitter past, etc. If we can drop the bean it onto the ground (letting go our sins, the past, etc.), it dies (finding forgiveness and peace in ourselves), and it will become a new life (us putting the past behind and shaping a better future).
That being said, it isn't always easy to let go whenever we want to. Therefore it is easier for us t start with the small, things, habitual acts that bring harm to yourself and / or others.

A Day at The Office

Was on my way to the office around 1ish today, saw 2 teenagers in the train, displaying their yoyo skills.. pretty cool! I was watching them play for the whole 15-minute ride to Masjid Jamek station. Managed to record a short clip...

Reached office around 2 +, with a mission to work... UNFORTUNATELY, the air coming out of the aircon blowing on top of me was so nice, that I feel asleep after looking at the monitor for less than 15 minutes, and if it wasn't for my dad's call at 4 asking me how I was doing, I would have probably slept all the way till 7 or 8.

KL City Walk

Managed to send out invites for next week's scheduled meetings. Very packed :(. Anyways, left the office at 6+. It's F1 weekend, and there were a lot of people around KLCC. Came home and washed my clothes for next week. And while I was cooking my dinner 10 minutes ago, Darren called... "Let's go makan downstairs"... LOL

There Goes a Colleague and a Friend

Extract of the card I received from Mareen. Touching~

Today is the last working day for a colleague and a person I regarded as a friend. A performer at work, and someone who is not afraid to stand up for what she thinks is right. Comes with a wonderful personality as well. Wishing her all the best in her future endeavours and may she continue to prosper and be successful.

As Good Friday approaches, I somehow decided to read a daily Christian reading off a book (I am not a Christian by the way). It was about how Jesus died for mankind's sin - sacrificial love. Googled it, and I found this excerpt to be of interest

Sacrificial love is self-sacrifice with the pure motivation to alleviate the suffering of others. This supreme love is suffering love, love that requires involvement in the knotty problems of the world, love that bears with the failings and weaknesses of others, love that is committed to helping others regardless of the cost. We have the example of Jesus Christ, who offered his life to redeem sinful humanity, and Moses, who risked his life before Pharaoh for the sake of his people. We have the example of the bodhisattva, who vows to devote himself to save all beings and to accept their sufferings as his own. He regards his own happiness as incidental to the happiness of others. He does not claim the merit of his spiritual progress for himself, but offers it for the liberation of others. A Hindu example of this sacrificial attitude and of the practice of "transfer of merit" is found in the story of King Vipascit, who would rather ease the suffering of the denizens of hell than enjoy by himself the bliss of heaven. We conclude with a description of the painful Native American ritual called the Sun Dance, in which the dancer has his chest pierced with wooden pegs tied with ropes to the top of a sacred tree; as he dances the ropes become taut until the pegs rip off from his flesh. The dancer sacrifices his body on behalf of his people, that the people may live. ~

Different and pure is this love, compared to the one we so often proclaim to each other, and before you know it, end up breaking our vows. It is easy to say "I love you", but, living that vow and loving that person more as each day passes by is a learning and a journey in life, which without believing and having faith, means nothing at all.

I don't know what time will I get home tonight, but I am hopeful it will be before 3:00 AM. Good thing is I do not need to work tomorrow so I can sleep till late...*oink oink* :P

I Am Truly Blessed ^_^

The sun which takes away all darkness, and the angel who takes care of us during the night

Left office around 11:00 PM filled with mixed feelings - confused about what happened today. As I was walking into KLCC, again I saw a flock of birds, this time all flying together. Birds at night? I thought they would be sleeping?
Anyway, as I was waiting for the train to go home, I was still thinking when all of a sudden I felt something pulling my shirt (by the way, I always tug out my shirt after office hours). It was a kid, probably between 3 - 5 years old, standing next to her mom and dad. I looked at her, showed her my tongue (did the blerr thing). To my astonishment, she smiled back - kids normally blerr back. I looked away, and again she continued on pulling my shirt (obviously her mom and dad were looking at me and smiling, probably grateful that I'm now a victim of being harassed by a child - I smiled back naturally). This happened a few times before the next train arrived (11 minute interval). I wanted to give kid something, but I didn't know what to give. Suddenly remembered I've got candies in my bag. So I took a few out and gave it to her. She smiled back and said, "Xie Xie Ni, Koko".
At that very moment, I felt very soft all of a sudden. I started to think about the readings from Corinthians, and what they encompassed. I thought of this quote from my previous post:-
"Only when we give joyfully, without hesitation or thought of gain can we truly know what love means ~ Leo Buscaglia"
Then it all started to sink in, the reason why I was confused earlier. I have been giving joyfully of course, but all this while with hesitation. Hesitation to give, as I was afraid. Afraid of being important as I didn't think I deserve it. Little did I know that what I have been getting all this while is so much of a blessing, and I didn't learn to appreciate it. This kid helped me realize what I have been doing differently as the days go by and how it became from something which was initially deemed as happiness because it was done right to very heavy burden because of hesitation.
As I write this, I feel grateful to have what I have today, and the friendship I have fostered over time. And so it shall be, that I will continue to give joyfully, WITHOUT hesitation or thought of gain :)
My travel itinerary for the remainder of the year - 10 trips to Singapore, 1 to Phuket (and maybe others)

Patience = Perseverance

0309031603210322 As the saying goes... From good to bad to worse or should it be from good to better to best? Been thinking (wandering thoughts), whether it's the earlier or the latter one. Stumbled upon this quote earlier...

“Patience and perseverance have a magical effect before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish.” ~ John Quincy Adams (The 6th US President)

Question to self, "How much patience and perseverance do I really have?" I remember back in the days when I was a teenager, I was pretty much a very short fused person, at least with my brother. Grown a lot since then, and today I've learn to take things as they are. Problem is it shows in my face? I'm not very good at concealing my emotions, a 4 year old would probably spot the bluff if I did - so I am not a poker material. LOL.

Saw f flock of birds this morning on my way to work. What's interesting was that there were 2 birds which were flying way behind the flock. Being different is never easy huh... Went to buy a stroller for a fellow colleague earlier. Learnt how to 'operate' one (it was rocket science especially for ignorant people like me!)

And now I am back in the office. Looks like I am going to be home after 12:00 again today.

Lion dance in March? It's a month past CNY. Cute huh :)
Yipee! I'm home before 11:00 PM today! Came home, immediately took a cold shower, and now I facing my laptop screen, blogging while looking at charts. Been staying back at the office till late for the past couple of days, sort of remind me of the days when I was authorizer, where I'd be at the office minimum 12 hours a day. I even had spare clothes and a towel just in case I didn't go home :P. I was well known back then and my colleagues used to tell me that AmEx is my second home - some of them still do. If only the building management would convert the executive toilet into a shower room, it could very much be my second home.
Bought lottery for the past 3 days as the jackpot was like RM17,000,000 so I invested RM1 every draw. Didn't manage to withdraw the RM17mil, instead ended up depositing my RM1. I was an errand boy today for a few of my team mates as they wanted to buy too. Ha ha ha (bad influence)
All of a sudden I was thinking about my career - where will I be in the next 5 years? Band 40? Move out from AmEx? Early retirement? At this point, I'd like very much to work in a different country - broaden my horizons so to say. Let's see what comes along
Felt like saying something earlier, but wasn't sure if I should...

Food?

The view outside, from 13A-2
Having a bad stomachache now. Probably due to the 'watan ho' I had earlier. Speaking of food, I have been wondering about this food stall in Wangsa Maju (next station from my place) which had like tons of people queuing up for their food every night. And mind you, it's just a by-the-street stall with probably 5 or 6 tables. Darren finally found out what all the fuss was about - apparently a burger stall! But it ain't just a normal Ramly burger stall, instead their burgers are home made. Refer to http://www.taufulou.com/2012/02/28/kau-kau-burger-wangsa-maju/ for more info.
Went out for a session with a mate earlier and we had sort of a chat around the future, what we want in our careers and when does the rat race stop. I reckon it's all about living within our own means, that we truly find happiness. But then again, the influence of the secular is so strong that if you choose to be different, you'll be deemed an outcast, and alienated to the certain extent. Are we brave enough to go through that? Looking out of my room window towards the highway, I can see street lights which were once yellowish-white color are now white, a new upcoming housing development in front of the condo I live in, new stalls replacing old ones which I use to frequent for 'yam cha'. Stomach giving me discomfort again, a sign to call it a night ~

I'm Getting Old

Took a cab back from Taman Melati LRT station - too lazy to walk, besides it was nearly midnight (can't remember the last time I stayed back in the office this late?). Anyway as I stepped into the cabbie, the driver said to me, "Eh, lama tak jumpa! Apa khabar?" I thought to myself, "Hmm I don't remember him but he remembers me? What sort of impression did I gave him the last time I saw him, that he remembers me?" We naturally started to chit chat about the fact that there's a surge in taxi drivers on the road, and most of them consist of workers who were laid off, and from the compensation they received, they would sign up for a taxi driver's course (all in all it probably takes around RM 800 for the lincense, then another RM 5000 for the taxi down payment). Pretty easy to get a license to drive a taxi huh. Thought of becoming one - flexible time and having the chance to meet various kinds of people. But it just won't cut it for me because I want to move elsewhere. To make sure I remember, I got his name (Kamaruddin) and his cab number (HWB 8611). Ha ha ha
Was having this conversation earlier on how do we define successful. Some say by the amount of wealth, both monetary and knowledge. I am in the opinion that one is successful, when he/she is content with what they have - self fulfillment. In the secular world today, it is very difficult for one to be content with what he/she already has. Basically got $1 million now, the next thing you know, want $2 million. And that's normal, we're all human beings and we crave for what the secular world has taught us. But is it that difficult for us to be content with what we already have? I mean don't get me wrong, I work for more money too, but the real objective for us all, is to leave within our own means. And through doing that, do we find inner peace and happiness.
Time to bath and call it a night, have to wake up to jog later. As I prepare to retire to sleep, those who mean a lot to me are in my thoughts and I wish them all sweet dreams :)

It's Saturday!

Roller coster at Times Square Indoor Theme Park
These days seem to be different. Same but different. Still trying to figure out what changed. 情非得已 - Listened to this song earlier. It was a hit song during my secondary school years. Somehow these so called 'oldies' start to appeal more compared to current artists. Now I understand why my dad loves his oldies songs. Speaking of that, I remember the days when my dad would start playing his songs at 5:30 AM in the morning, and we had to bear with it, because every room had speaker on top of the ceiling, and dad would purposely ensured all the speakers were tuned accordingly. I guess it was a so call alarm for me and my brother to wake up and go to school.
Attended the GCA team building event organized by Auths. It was bowling this time. Credit got 1st place! (from behind... ha ha ha). Collections bagged 1st place, followed by Fraud and Auths. But overall, everyone had fun and that's what mattered most. Tomorrow's going to be a work day - gotta catch up on some stuff

Openness

15 minute break... Glancing back quickly on what happened last night after dinner. Was sleepy so I dozed off in the car for a bit while Darren was driving. When we got back home at about 11:30 PM, we saw some maintenance going on at the electricity room downstairs, and Darren said there would be a potential power disruption later. Everything went on fine at first and I eventually fell asleep at 2 +. What Darren foretold happened when I woke up at 4:00 AM as it was a little 'warmer' that usual. Luckily it was for a brief hour or so, but after that I couldn't went back to sleep. So I took some time to reflect upon myself, on the events that took place the previous day.

A lot of things happen in such a short time frame. Life's like a roller coaster sometimes. It's slow when it goes up the ramp, and all of a sudden when you're at the top, before you know it, you speed down so fast until you don't even feel your feet. Thought about the people in life who requires healing (including myself :)) and this came to mind...

"With this 'openness' in the heart, any kind of words (good or bad) which come your way become echoes in space that you can truly hear deeply - without prejudice. With a closed heart, certain words become sharp arrows piercing it, as they are taken with bias, assumed to be weapons shot to kill. He who is open can never be hurt. How can you hurt open space? "

Quieten your mind, reflect, watch, nothing binds you - You are free!

Oops.. overshot my break by 5 minutes.. back to the battlefield!

Requirements

Korean dinner

In the car with Darren, going to meet Ngie Hung for dinner. 'I Want It That Way' by Backstreet Boys playing on HITZ FM. Did 30 minutes on the cardio this morning + a 5 minute steam bath after - Nice :)

For some reason computer games came to mind. I recall where the cover of the disc would indicate the minimum requirements of the PC required for the game to operate smoothly. As technology advanced, so did the games - they basically got better, which in turn of course required higher computer specs.

Now does this theory apply to us human beings?...

Life's Purpose

MBG fruit stall at the KLCC LRT station. Yummy!
Called dad earlier to ask how's things going and how is mom. Uncle and auntie from KK is down in Labuan for a couple of days so I guess my mom must be happy - probably will chit chat with her sister all day long. That's what people at their age do I guess, and I sometimes envy them. I mean, I'm sure that they've had their fair share of struggles in during their younger days. Raising both me and my brother definitely ain't easy. But we turned out fine, thanks to our parents. Granny was a heavy smoker (probably the reason why she couldn't see me come into this world), and I remember mom telling me that they had to buy cigarettes when they were young.
Had only 2 meals today, surprisingly, maggie mee and milk tea (thank you Siew Ling! *burp*) during lunch, and RM10 worth of fruits about an hour ago (papaya, apple, grapes, pear, mango, longan).
p/s I wasn't able to scroll down on my email today. Yipee!

Change

We experience change everyday, in ourselves and in our surroundings. Take for example the weather - it's gloomy here now, it'll probably rain shortly, then night comes, and the next thing I know it'll be Thursday. Gaia is indeed amazing, but how many of us actually stop for a moment, admire the change and appreciate it?

The kindest thing we can do is to be so kind to ourselves that we realize the value of kindness so much that we actually share it with everyone else

Unanswered Questions

People playing dam.
Been thinking a lot over the past 2 nights. Is it difficult to mend a broken heart and find peace? How do we find healing? How do we know it's healed? Why does pride and ego seem to overrule humbleness 9/10 times?

Action Speaks Lourder Than Words

It does, but when you're a person like me who's shy to express himself, I guess things sort of backfire (smiling and knocking my own head). And this song came to mind - 開不了口

There are things in life that we just can't control or stop, from happening. For example, death. I remember when I was a kid, that I use to take my grandpa for granted. I remember there was a time when I wanted to rear birds and I asked my grandpa to buy me a birdcage + birds (asked my parents who naturally never agreed with it, so being a manipulative kid I decided to ask my grandpa). At first, he wasn't agreeable to it either. Being a kid, I naturally threw my tantrum and didn't want to speak to my grandpa. After 2 days a very nice birdcage came, with a pair of 'budgies'. The smile on my grandpa's face when he saw how thrilled I was remains a memory. I was so happy back then and told my grandpa I wanted more birds (tsk tsk tsk greedy huh). A couple of the birds naturally died (due to neglect by me), and in the end I decided to let them go with a conscience that birds are supposed to free, chirping and flying about free. My grandma once told me and my brother, she wants to be a bird if she ever got reincarnated, so she can fly wherever she wants to go (I hope you got your wish nanny).

After about 3 years or so, my grandpa passed away. It was a school day (I was studying in the evening), when I got home, my aunt asked me to come over. She said she had something to tell me. I looked at her facial expression and knew something wasn't right. It was then when she said, "Non, Kong Kong has passed away". My heart ached so badly, and before I knew it, tears came rolling down my cheek. Bittersweet memories started storming back. I regretted so badly that I never got to tell grandpa how much I loved him.

It is now 14 years since grandpa left us to be in a better place. I could have dwell in that sadness and it would have left a scar in my heart. But it became a teaching to me instead. The most important lesson he taught me - To be filial to your parents. And the lesson wasn't taught by telling me, instead grandpa showed it to me, by giving away his life.

Thank you grandpa, I love you.

What Are The Odds?

Was walking to work this morning, when I saw a Toyota Corolla turning into the KL Tower junction. To my astonishment it was LB1058.. Yong Lee... your car!!! The car which I used to sit in to go 'pai nian', 'ta chiu', and ahem ahem... 'kap foh'. And that was like, 10 years ago? What a coincidence eh.

Anyway, met 2 ex-team members on my way to the office, and am glad that they are all doing well. A thought came to mind and somehow think it is relevant, "It doesn't matter where you came, but where you are heading". All of us come from different backgrounds, some fortunate, others not. I think what's important is what we do with our own lives at present. Everyone deserves a second chance, we are kind to others yet selfish to ourselves? Hmm... something to contemplate on

I feel lucky today, and so I am going to go share my luck with those who are in need of it :)

What is Love?

Was thinking about this topic on my way home today, and the quote from the Bible came to mind :) Found a video to pair it with... http://www.youtube.com/embed/wCLXWyIyu2E?fs=1

Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous;
love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly;
it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered,
does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;
bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails...But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7,13

'Chao Chao' Pillow

Suddenly remembered my favourite pillow when I was a kid. Had it like for 3 years, since I was 3 I think? I would sleep with it, bite it (yes I love to bite things so if you notice my stationery, the pen are without a cover), and carry it around the house. So obviously it stinked, and my mom used to try and take it, to put it in the washer. Never happened! Ha ha ha. One day, when I came back from kindergarden, Chao Chao was gone - my mom threw him away:~ Went to the dustbin and saw it in there, but was too deep in.
It has been 21 years since Chao Chao, was thrown away. I sometimes wonder, where is he now?

This Day in History

March 8, 2012 - I remember back in the days when I was a kid, me and my elder brother (my only brother :)) used to watch the Cantonese drama on TV2. Before the show, there would be this 5-minute documentary after the 6:00 PM news. It was called "Hari ini Hari Dalam Sejarah" which highlighted historical events which took place on that day, but different year. It was good as it enriched our knowledge about the country's history, and it taught us to appreciate what we
had compared to our forefathers back then (of course I didn't realize then being a kid. Ha ha ha).
Don't know if it's still around today - doubt it since it's been like probably 20 years?
So here I am today, writing history for tomorrow, today.

8:30 PM

The view outside from where I sit

It is now 8:30 PM and I am still seated in the office. What can I say... I love my job and I am faithful to the Company? Best thing about my job - people. Worst thing - red tapes.

It's been a hectic week, with system issues causing a lot of havoc for the team. Good thing that things are still running despite all the excitement. Thought of taking a couple of days off work next week and visit a foreign country. Bangkok... Hmm - Health Land Spa which offers 2 hours of Thai massage at RM40 - SUPER. Then there's Singapore - Universal Studios and perhaps more?

Going for cendol with housemate and my brother shortly, so better clear up quickly. Till the next post...

Imagination

Dinner is served ;)
It has been raining for over 5 hours now. Went home a little later than expected due to the rain. Thankful that my housemate Darren was kind enough to offer me a lift back home. Of course we decided to have dinner (no wonder I keep gaining instead of losing weight) at 'Pat Kin Pat Sun'
Was thinking about the future and what's in store for us.
We don't always need the real thing to experience what is close to the real thing if we believe and use our imagination constructively. Don't feed on inspiration, instead become inspired, inspire yourself, use your imagination.

神様、もう少しだけ (God, please give me more time )

Made sure I checked my zipper twice before leaving for work today as I didn't want another "bird's cage open' situation - happened to me last week all the way from home to KLCC!
Today's title was taken from a Japanese drama broadcasted in 1998 (yes I was a drama freak during those times). It is a touching love story about a girl Kano Masaki (Fukada) who contracted HIV after selling her body in order to earn money for the concert of a famous composer Ishikawa Keigo (Kaneshiro). She dies in the end, after giving birth to Kaneshiro's baby.
Many things happen around us, yet we tend to take it for granted until something significant happens, and the course of our lives changes, in an instant at times. Sad, but that is reality for most of us.
So if we were to prioritize, what would be the main priorities of our lives. Is it God? Money? Career? Family? Health? Question to think about carefully...
Finding real happiness isn't easy neither is it hard. You just got to believe and have faith

Reborn

It's been almost 2 years since I last posted anything here. Guess it will be good to make it a habit to have a so called 'life journal' so here I am - reborn.

Made a pledge to my team last week, that I would lose 15kg in 2 months - surprisingly I gained 3? Must be the 'kacang putih' Lol

Did my tax returns today, and am somewhat happy as the government owes me RM18xx :)

My favourite kuih melayu (ondeh ondeh)
